The Desperate Need For Revival

In order to understand what revival is, sometimes it is helpful to start by looking as what it is not. Revival is not just evangelism, emotionalism, excitement, an event.

What is REVIVAL? Revival is the “extraordinary movement of the Spirit of God in the hearts of God’s people, producing extraordinary results.”

Extraordinary prayer, conviction and repentance, love and unity, worship, witness and service, and spiritual awakening among the lost mark revival.

Revival is important because if we disregard it we will misunderstand and miss God’s ways. Without revival, we have no hope against the rising tide of humanism and godlessness. Revival is the greatest means of God displaying His glory!

What can we do? Revival is a sovereign work of God. We cannot produce such a movement by our own action, only God could produce such a movement.

What can we do? We can cooperate with God as He moves in our hearts. Ask Him to take away your fear of revival, become a student of revival, an illustration of revival, and an instrument of revival.

God desires that you not only experience revival, but also that you be His pipeline through which He can reach many others. Cry out to God with this prayer, “Lord, as You revive my heart, would You graciously use me up to help others experience You in extraordinary ways?

If you and I are interested, GOD can move in an extra-ordinary way—in your life, your family, and your church!
